Insurance

We are fully insured against damage to other people or property in the unlikely event of an accident occurring during our work.

We are providers of aerial photography and edited videos for a variety of different customers both in the private and public sector.
A.S. Aerial Media is fully insured with public liability and adheres strictly to guidelines and safety procedures necessary to ensure the safety of crew, public and buildings.

Regulations
We operate in accordance with UK drone laws and in CAA regulated airspace, which clearly define where and when we can operate. These include:

Maintaining at least 50m from people and property not under our control.
Maintaining at least 30m from people and property not under our control, during take off and landing.
If on private land, getting permission of the landowner prior to take off and landing.
Keeping a minimum distance of 150m from organised crowds of over 1000 people.
Never flying over roads, buildings or people which are not under our control
Flying at a maximum height of 400ft above ground level, and a maximum horizontal distance of 500m.
Maintaining visual line of sight with the drone for the duration of the flight.
Only operating during daylight hours.
Operating outside of controlled or restricted airspace (e.g. around airports and aerodromes).

We can fly as close as required, to people under control of the remote pilot, and to property with permission from the owner, allowing us to carry out close-proximity survey work. We will work with you to put together a flight plan that is within all applicable laws.
It is also illegal to fly over congested areas . As with the safety issues, we will do a thorough check that the mission can be carried out legally, and in the unlikely event that it can’t, you won’t be charged.
